About
Ella is an actor, singer and comedian. She's a co-creator of Descent, a five-part comedy web series released on Grouse House in 2024, produced by Haven't You Done Well Productions. She’s worked as a backing vocalist for Robbie Williams, including shooting for upcoming biopic Better Man (dir. Michael Gracey), performed with Melbourne Shakespeare Company, Artefact Theatre Company and had guest cast appearances in Fresh Blood series Ruby Rai P.I., Sammy J, and sketches with Aunty Donna. She's a co-creator of The Candyman (2021), a six-part audio series featured on NPR, CBC/Radio-Canada and ABC Radio Melbourne, as well as being nominated for an Australian Podcast Award (Best Comedy). She sound designed and edited the series. She also co-created live show Catching Jack, running seasons across 2021-22 at MICF (one produced by Laughing Stock) and Adelaide Fringe. She currently works as a Funnies Associate Producer at The Project (Network Ten), and as a production and costume designer (Stupid Old Studios). She’s a 2021 graduate of the VCA’s Master of Film and Television, her graduate film We Never Asked For This (writer/director) screening at MIFF and AFF. She’s a 2022 MIFF Accelerator Lab alum, and in the same year was a director’s attachment on Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe (ABC). She’s trained in improv with UCB (LA), The Groundlings, TIC and LMA.
